Thank you to Christian Wagenbreth for braving the snow and providing us with some great tips!

Join us March 11 at 7PM where Peter Sidebotham from StudioIDM will present on optimal ways to make Dreamweaver CSS designs compatible across browsers. Peter will show how the browsers handle CSS differently and give some example pages for comparison. Then he'll go through the common workarounds and talk about why some of them are better than others.
As always, we'll have time for questions and discussion.

NOT-SO-NEW-LOCATION: Pick A Cup, 1813 Dempster, Evanston. Carol, the owner, makes a killer quiche and the desserts are to die for! They have coffee drinks and juices as well.

Meetup.com charges $19/month for their services, so be prepared to pitch in $2. RSVP on the meeting site and we'll see you in December!

Please call if you need directions to Pick A Cup (847-644-2389). Do you need a ride to Evanston? Post it on your RSVP so people in your area can car pool.

    Peter's presentation was spot on! Would like to also plug a book that supports this methodology, <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Bulle...">Bulletproof Web Design</a>

    Here is also this solution to transparent pngs in IE6: An IE6 bug which causes a great deal of hassle is that it doesnâ??t support transparent PNG images. You will need to use a filter which overrides the CSS. Here is the css code: * html #image-style { background-image: none; filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader(src="filename.png", sizingMethod="scale"); }
